Having the full-color blocks right in the workbook makes following along with the online class so much easier than pausing the video every few minutes. The 12 designs are printed clearly enough that I can keep my place without squinting, and it's already earned a permanent spot on my sewing table.

I was worried a workbook wouldn't add much beyond the online class, but having the twelve Birds of Paradise blocks printed in full color right next to my machine changed that. I stitch a block a month and the pages lay flat enough to actually follow along.

The full color block pages make it so much easier to match my fabrics before I even cut into them. I printed one out to test the machine quilting lines and it lined up perfectly with the class lessons. Twelve blocks feels like a manageable pace for a year.
